Hi! I'm Marcos, a PhD candidate in Business Economics at the Management, Strategy, and Innovation (MSI) department of KU Leuven. I am on the 2026-2027 academic job market.
I study how information frictions and mechanism design shape entrepreneurial behavior and firm-level outcomes. My research sits at the intersection of entrepreneurship, strategy, and organizational economics. A central theme running through my work is technological change, and I am particularly interested in how firms and entrepreneurs respond to new General Purpose Technologies.
Methodologically, I combine theory-driven models with causal inference approaches, drawing on both large-scale observational data and primary data collection, including field experiments.
I am affiliated with the Innovation Growth Lab (IGL)
